You will work directly with the Director Business Development DACH to drive Financial Institutions sales — winning and delighting clients and collaborating closely with growth and launch teams to help large financial institutions digitise their investing propositions. You'll leverage your expertise in financial services and sales to understand clients' needs and craft compelling commercial propositions.
What you'll do
- Own the cross-functional sales cycle until contract closing to meet or exceed sales targets
- Build the business by consultatively understanding clients' needs and developing compelling sales materials that communicate the Upvest value proposition effectively
- Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships through regular client calls and networking events
- Contribute to sales enablement efforts and process improvement by sharing client insights and driving best practice
- Enable a seamless client onboarding experience via effective communication with the implementations team
What you'll need
- 4–6+ years of experience in sales-related roles, ideally within investments, banking, or wealth management, preferably in a B2B environment and working with API-based products
- Previous experience in investments and securities trading, along with strong interest in software- and infrastructure-as-a-service products
- Demonstrated expertise with B2B sales methodologies, such as solution/consultative selling
- Strong leadership skills, able to communicate well with different stakeholder groups and challenge assumptions internally or externally
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with ability to create trust, handle objections and present compelling pitches
- Hands-on, proactive ownership of complex projects with consistent communication and diligent internal documentation

- Experience selling to banks or wealth managers
- Thorough understanding of the investment industry, its trends and competitive landscape
- Strong professional network in the investment industry
- Located in Berlin or remote Germany with fluency in German (C2 or native)
