Senior Engineering Manager, Product Engineering

Senior Engineering Manager for a team of 8 engineers and 2 product designers building security compliance automation. You'll own technical decisions, set the pace, and work directly with the CTO to scale the team from 8 to 16 engineers over 12 months while maintaining speed and quality.

What you'll do

• Ship meaningful features with the team in month one to establish credibility and understand the codebase
• Refine software development processes to keep the team operating at high velocity, with cycle time from spec to production as your primary accountability
• Improve how engineers test, automate, and review each other's code and security changes
• Run the engineering hiring process and interview loop to double the team size over 12 months
• Own team structure, growth conversations, and eventually identify and coach the next engineering manager
• Drive adoption of AI tools in the engineering craft and in management practices like hiring and 1:1s

What you'll need

• Proven experience as an engineering manager or technical leader at a fast-growing company
• Track record of improving team velocity and code quality without sacrificing pace
• Ability to still ship code and understand technical decisions at the level you'll ask of the team
• Experience building and scaling engineering hiring processes
• Strong product taste — the ability to notice when a feature takes three weeks that should take one, or ships on time but isn't good enough
• Comfortable working in EMEA/CET time zone (Germany/Munich preferred)
