Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work from the Berlin HQ at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations. You'll work directly with tax advisory teams to understand how they operate, identify high-impact opportunities for technology and automation, and build solutions that improve how work gets done.

What you'll do

• Work directly with tax professionals to understand complex operational workflows and identify where software and AI can have the biggest impact.
• Turn operational problems into working MVPs quickly, test them with users, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
• Build software, internal tools, integrations, automations, and AI-enabled workflows that solve real problems across the firms.
• Take solutions beyond prototypes and deploy them into live operational environments.
• Stay close to users after deployment, evaluate what works, and continuously improve the systems you build.
• Turn successful solutions into reliable, repeatable systems that can be rolled out across the Limetax group.

What you'll need

• You have shipped software, automations, or AI-enabled products that real users relied on and are comfortable working across APIs, databases, integrations, and modern development tools.
• You don't wait for perfect requirements or a detailed playbook. You take ambiguous problems, figure out what matters, and drive them from discovery to production.
• You have built with LLMs, agents, or AI-enabled workflows and understand where AI creates real value — and where humans need to stay in the loop.
• You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, earn trust, and thrive in messy environments with imperfect data, legacy systems, and changing priorities.
• You speak professional German and fluent English. German is essential for working directly with tax advisory teams across Germany.
