Working Student - Hub Design & Expansion Analytics

Support the design of internal layouts for grocery delivery hubs in CAD and help build analytical models to evaluate candidate hub locations for expansion.

What you'll do

• Support the design of internal layouts for our grocery delivery hubs in CAD — racking, pick zones, cold/ambient/freezer areas, staging, e-bike parking, and staff facilities
• Help optimise layouts for operations processes, walking distances, and storage density
• Prepare floor plans and technical drawings to support the construction and installation teams
• Help check that designs align with German building, fire-safety, food-storage, and workplace regulations
• Help build and maintain spreadsheets and statistical models to evaluate candidate hub locations
• Support analysis of catchment areas, population density, expected order demand, delivery radius, and cannibalisation between hubs
• Assist in ranking potential sites by expected performance against rent and fit-out cost

What you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree such as Industrial/Logistics Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline
• Some exposure to CAD, with eagerness to learn and specialise quickly
• Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) and a genuine interest in working with data
• An analytical, detail-oriented mindset paired with practical, hands-on judgement
• Curiosity and flexibility; you enjoy learning new tools and wearing more than one hat
• Fluent English with German being a big plus for dealing with external stakeholders
