Senior People Operations Manager

As Senior People Operations Manager, you'll own People Operations at voize and build the function from the ground up. This is the first dedicated People Ops role, with the space to design how People Ops should work at a modern, fast-growing company: automated where it can be, self-service where it should be, and scalable enough to still work when you've doubled in size.

What you'll do

• Own the employee lifecycle end to end: Onboarding to offboarding with the mandate to redesign how it works, not just run it.
• Be the trusted point of contact: Own the people topics that need judgment and discretion - and build the self-service, automation and agents that make routine questions disappear.
• Build a first-class People Ops foundation: Modern, AI-native processes, clear ownership and documentation, and a seamless employee experience from day one.
• Automate what shouldn't be manual: Build a reliable source of truth and the workflows and AI agents around it - so documents, deadlines, data checks and repetitive admin run without human intervention.
• Make us global-ready: Entity vs. EOR decisions, global payroll architecture and local employment compliance across every market we operate in - with audit-proof documentation the whole way.

What you'll need

• Several years of ownership in a fast-growing tech company, and you know from experience which processes break at which headcount.
• German payroll and employment law expertise: Payroll preparation, contracts, statutory deadlines and audit topics - you work at this level of detail without needing a lawyer for every question.
• Multi-country People Ops experience: entities, EOR, global payroll, local employment law. You've done at least one market entry and know where it gets expensive. US experience is a strong plus.
• AI-first mindset: You build your own automations and agents. When you see a repetitive process, your instinct is to remove it, not to staff it.
• You've insourced, migrated or rebuilt a function before, you write documentation people actually use, and you'd rather own an ambiguous mandate than a tidy job description.
• Fluent German (C1+) and English.
