Senior Fullstack Engineer

Upfront is Upvest's operational service panel for enterprise clients, giving their operations, support and compliance staff the ability to handle first-line requests themselves. You'll focus on building what actually creates value for our clients, taking operational problems from concept to production across React/TypeScript frontend and Go backend services.

What you'll do

• Take operational problems from concept to production, working across our React/TypeScript frontend and Go backend services.
• Own modern interface security, tackling per-client isolated environments, least-privilege access, and Auth0 integrations in a regulated space.
• Expand the operational surface across Upvest's internal domains and develop a deep understanding of how our core systems piece together.
• Help define how software delivery works in an AI-enabled company by pushing AI tooling to its limits to maximize quality and speed while staying compliant.
• Build agentic operations as we move toward exposing Upfront over MCP, solving design problems around what an agent can do autonomously versus what requires human intervention.
• Work in weekly cycles with bi-weekly retrospectives to prioritize high-quality, high-frequency shipping.

What you'll need

• A strong product engineering mindset where you care about the "why" just as much as the "how" and proactively bring ideas to the table.
• Solid backend experience in Go, Java, or Kotlin.
• Practical experience building modern client-facing interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Experience building products that require per-customer configuration without devolving into a custom fork per client.
• Deep knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• True end-to-end ownership across containers, CI/CD pipelines, and relational data modeling.
• Real-world experience using AI tools to drive software engineering workflows.
• The ability to navigate undefined problems and align other teams without needing formal authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with Investment products or the Fintech domain.
• Experience building operational or back-office tooling for business users.
• Experience with identity platforms such as Auth0, or with multi-tenant isolation.
• Experience operating services in a decoupled, event-driven system with modern observability tooling.
