Senior Software Engineer - Risk Management

Senior Software Engineers at PPRO make significant decisions for the company, solving complex technical problems and participating in architecture and technical direction. You will own products and services end-to-end, support and mentor other engineers, and work alongside them in the code.

What you'll do

• Own products and services end-to-end — backend and UI — including architecting solutions that turn risk into a product, such as disputes and chargebacks platforms
• Collaborate in a dynamic and autonomous environment, working to define undefined boundaries in disputes and chargebacks across payment methods
• Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for customers at massive scale
• Take full operational responsibility for the services you own, ensuring security compliance (GDPR) and potentially participating in an on-call rotation
• Share your knowledge and build creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices

What you'll need

• Results-oriented, collaborative, pragmatic, and with a continuous improvement mindset
• Multiple experiences working with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience designing and building scalable products and services
• Experience with the cloud (preferably AWS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Comfortable making UI changes in React; full stack experience is desirable
• Great problem solving abilities and the ability to articulate tradeoffs of technical problems to a broad audience
• Working proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience or a strong interest in the complexities of Disputes or Chargebacks
