Senior Frontend Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will own the design and implementation of intuitive, responsive UIs for our AI knowledge platform using React and TypeScript, impacting thousands of users daily. You'll work side by side with passionate engineers in Berlin on a product at the forefront of AI, with a focus on code quality, product thinking, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Lead frontend development and own the design and implementation of intuitive, responsive UIs using React and TypeScript
• Work closely with product and design teams to translate user needs into features – from concept, through architectural design, to polished release
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests, and conduct peer code reviews to ensure a high-quality codebase
• Optimize for performance and scalability so our frontend remains fast and stable as usage grows
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs seamlessly and influence overall architecture
• Continuously improve our frontend tooling and developer experience, experimenting with new technologies
• Guide and mentor junior developers by sharing knowledge and leading by example

What you'll need

• Extensive experience (5+ years or equivalent skill) building modern web applications with React and fluency in TypeScript with care for type-safe, well-structured code
• Deep understanding of state management (hooks, context, etc.), component design, and performance optimization
• Strong commitment to code quality – you write clean, readable code and cover critical logic with tests
• Eye for great UI/UX and empathy for the end user; you strive to make features delightful and intuitive
• Ability to quickly diagnose and fix issues across the stack, comfortable with browser dev tools and performance profiling
• Proficiency with modern development tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks)
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-based dev tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to boost productivity
• Full-stack familiarity with Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, or cloud infrastructure
