Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

You'll own a domain inside the core Go codebase, contributing to architecture decisions and code quality. You'll work in a well-structured system with some standalone services, including an on-premise gateway for hospital integrations, stepping in with confidence when needed and keeping things moving as a trusted senior voice on the team.

What you'll do

• Own a domain inside the core Go codebase, contributing to architecture decisions and code quality within your area
• Work inside a well structured system with some standalone services around the edges, including an on premise gateway for hospital integrations
• Step in and keep things moving when your lead is away, taking ownership with confidence rather than waiting for instruction
• Contribute to pull requests, reviews, and technical discussions as a trusted senior voice on your team
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and suggest or implement improvements
• Use AI tooling as a genuine part of your day to day, whether accelerating code writing and reviews, prototyping ideas faster, or finding smarter ways to work
• Work closely with product and design to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ship reliably against the team's roadmap and help break down features into deliverable tasks

What you'll need

• CS degree or equivalent knowledge, and full-time professional coding experience for 4 to 5 plus years
• Production experience in Golang, or another C family language with demonstrable ability to operate in Go without hand holding
• Experience supporting or mentoring other engineers
• You are looking for a strong individual contributor role rather than a path into people management
