Accountant – 12months Fixed Term Contract

As an Accountant, you will work hand in hand with your colleagues from the Accounting Team, provide support with accounting-related tasks and be the contact person for internal and external audits. You will take ownership of key accounting processes, play an important role in our monthly and annual closing activities and actively contribute to the development of our accounting function.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of key month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and the preparation of accounting entries under HGB and IFRS.
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting records by performing account analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, regulatory reporting and supporting internal and external audits.
• Oversee accounts payable related processes, coordinate with internal stakeholders and support the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments and vendor reconciliations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls and system-supported workflows while collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance, Treasury and other business functions.
• Support tax-related accounting topics with a particular focus on direct taxes, including the preparation of tax-relevant data, reconciliations and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or training as an Accountant or equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in accounting
• Affinity for numbers and meticulous approach to work
• Familiar with accounting according to HGB and IFRS with very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Fluent in English and at least B1 level of German
• Work independently, service-oriented with strong analytical skills and great knowledge of Excel

• Experience in Project Management
• Contact with Navision and knowledge of VAT law
• Qualification of "Bilanzbuchhalter"
