Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize high-performance backend services while ensuring stability, scalability, and security of our serverless stack.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance backend services
• Ensure stability, scalability, and security of our serverless stack
• Drive architectural discussions and establish best practices in testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence
• Collaborate across teams to shape the future of hospitality tech

What you'll need

• 5+ years in professional backend engineering
• Expertise in TypeScript, NestJS, and API design
• Solid experience with AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS)
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows
• A self-starter mindset with a drive to innovate
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Enthusiastic about AI and comfortable leveraging tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Cursor

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (like sst.dev)
