Turn n8n's pricing and packaging into a deliberate, data-informed growth lever that scales revenue and adoption across the go-to-market, from the 1.5 million-strong community to global Enterprise accounts. As the first dedicated pricing hire, you'll own pricing strategy end-to-end across community, self-serve, and Enterprise tiers.
What you'll do
- Build and own the model connecting unit economics, agent run cost, willingness-to-pay, gross margin, and customer value.
- Maintain competitive and market intelligence so pricing keeps pace with a fast-shifting category.
- Run pricing experiments and turn results into documented, reusable learnings.
- Shape plan design and packaging across community, self-serve, and Enterprise tiers, plus add-ons.
- Design pricing for new SKUs and consumption-based models as product and cost-to-serve evolve around AI Assistant and n8n Connect.
- Lead cross-functional pricing decision-making and secure buy-in across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, RevOps, and Data.
- Own the rollout of major pricing changes end-to-end, from decision to launch to measured impact.
- Build pricing frameworks: list pricing, discount guardrails, decision rubrics, grandfathering rules, and usage-based billing decisions.
What you'll need
- 6+ years in pricing, monetisation, or commercial strategy, including at least one full cycle leading a major pricing model transition.
- Hands-on design and rollout of consumption-based, outcome-based, or AI-native pricing at a company past $100M ARR.
- Ownership of pricing on both self-serve/PLG and Enterprise, sales-led motions.
- Deep analytical rigour: build financial models and reason fluently about unit economics, cost-to-serve, gross margin, willingness-to-pay, and elasticity.
- Billing fluency with event metering, rating, entitlements, proration, overage, and revenue recognition.
- Empathy for technical users and buyers; understand how developers assign value across product experience.
- Built packaging frameworks and decision tools that product teams use independently.
- Cross-functional influence to align Product, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Billing on commercial decisions.
Nice to have
- Formal pricing training from Simon-Kucher or similar consultancy.
- Developer tools or open source/freemium pricing experience.
What they offer
- Competitive compensation with equity.
- Work/life balance with remote-first flexibility.
- Ownership and autonomy to shape pricing strategy at a $5.2bn company.
- Visa sponsorship available for Germany.
