AI Product Manager

About the role

Own one focused AI workstream at n8n, turning ambitious AI ideas into product experiences that users can trust, understand, and build with. You'll be close to users, close to the technology, and close to the future of AI products, collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Product Marketing, DevRel, Community, Support, and Customer Success.

What you'll do

• Own an AI workstream from problem discovery through launch and iteration, depending on your level working independently or alongside a senior PM mentor
• Focus on areas like AI Trust (evals, observability, traces, guardrails, reliability, debugging) or AI Building (Super Agent, custom memory, skills, chat-first building, proactive suggestions)
• Turn fuzzy AI problems into clear product direction and make progress when there are dozens of possible directions
• Shape the layer between deterministic workflows, AI agents, and human judgment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on complex product decisions

What you'll need

• Builder track record: you've made things with AI, not just described them (shipped products, serious prototypes, public projects, agent workflows, eval suites, or tools used by real people)
• You use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, n8n regularly and follow the AI product space closely
• You've built or meaningfully shaped evals, not just talked about them
• Understanding of tool loops, planners, scaffolding, context management, and practical constraints of agentic systems
• Strong product instincts about trade-offs, user value, product quality, and what should or should not be built
• UX taste and ability to explain why one product feels great and another feels off
• Clear communication and reasoning from first principles

• Open-source and community experience
• Founding or early-stage background
