Junior iOS Engineer - Payments

You will work in the Everyday Banking domain, within the Payments Team. This is where all payment and card transactions are being managed and processed by modern & high-volume systems that power the best customer experience possible. This is a hybrid role from Barcelona or Berlin.

What you'll do

• Be part of a high performing team building technologies that make banking more human.
• Proactively work on improving the iOS tech stack and ensure high quality standards
• Advocate for quality, security and continuous improvement in your team
• Participate in the N26 iOS community, facilitating cross team collaboration
• Work with Product, customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and build the right products and solutions
• Expand and develop your iOS knowledge, skills, and technology expertise
• Cover the full production lifecycle of all team services
• Autonomously drive progress end-to-end and be the one to find solutions

What you'll need

• Strong Swift & iOS SDK expertise, with a deep understanding of core concepts like concurrency, memory management, and local data persistence.
• Experience working with modern architecture patterns (MVVM, VIPER, or Modular Architecture) in large-scale codebases.
• Hands-on experience writing robust unit and integration tests for critical app workflows.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset that thrives in an agile, cross-functional environment.
