AI Platform Engineer

Build the core of Unum, an Enterprise Superintelligence platform that moves organizations past basic AI chatbots by deploying governed autonomous agents that safely integrate with enterprise data, execute complex workflows, and handle real-world operations in production.

What you'll do

• Build high impact applications and tools that accelerate Unum's solutions by applying AI models in novel ways to solve real world customer and internal workflow problems.
• Identify real needs and build technical solutions around them across the full lifecycle: prototype, iterate, ship, maintain and stay close to the problem you're solving.
• Translate AI capabilities into clean, trustworthy experiences by thinking carefully about how what you build is used by end users, colleagues, or other systems.
• Design how AI agents present their findings and ask for feedback.

What you'll need

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in software/product engineering with a proven track record of shipping end-to-end products.
• Proficiency in Python and building full stack applications.
• Experience building LLM powered workflows using common LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure.
• Engineering mindset: you think about why something needs to exist, who it serves, and how it fits into the broader vision.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and Terraform.
• Former founder or early engineer at a start up who built a product from scratch.
