As Head of Product, you own Kertos's product vision and roadmap at a pivotal moment where compliance is shifting from software as a service to service as software, where AI and automation do the work wherever they can and compliance experts focus on judgment calls that still need a human.
What you'll do
- Set the product vision, defining where Kertos product goes next, the shift from compliance software clients operate themselves to a service that delivers compliance outcomes for them, and turn that vision into a roadmap built around client value, not just feature velocity.
- Partner closely with compliance experts to learn what actually creates value for them and customers, and work with the Development Team to turn that expertise into a product that makes their work faster and clients' outcomes better.
- Continue to develop and mentor four product managers and two designers as the team scales, set the standards for how they run discovery and shipping, and make sure they grow into stronger PMs under you.
- Optimize the discovery process and work closely with compliance experts, design and engineering to understand problems deeply, validate ideas with real clients before building, and ship improvements that move a client's compliance outcome.
- Own the roadmap, setting priorities independently, and aligning them with technical leads, customer advisory board, key clients, and the leadership team.
- Use data to define what success looks like for each initiative in terms clients would recognize, such as "time saved", "risk mitigated", "time to audit readiness".
What you'll need
- Led product strategy in B2B SaaS as a Head of Product or similar, at a startup, scale-up, or an agile team inside a larger company and ideally have taken a product from idea through GA more than once.
- Hired, mentored, and managed product managers before, and know how to set clear expectations and give feedback that actually helps.
- Successfully partnered with compliance or legal experts who aren't engineers and turned their knowledge into product requirements.
- Passionate about AI and enjoy using it to define new product processes.
- German language skills are required for this position.
Nice to have
- Technical engineering expertise that helps you discuss frontend, backend, and cloud architecture.
- Familiarity with GRC, information security, or privacy topics.
What they offer
- Full flexibility to work from Berlin office, Munich HQ, or home office
- Personal Development Budget of 1,500€ per year
- Mental health support through partnership with nilo
- Wellpass membership subsidy for physical fitness
- Regular feedback and 1-on-1 meetings to support your growth
- Full responsibility from day 1 with steep learning curve
