Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at GALVANY, you will be a core architect of our AI-based Operating System. You'll design and scale the systems that bridge the gap between complex energy hardware and seamless digital experiences.

What you'll do

• Design and implement robust, event-driven architectures using Go and Kafka to support a diverse range of product domains.
• Develop high-quality APIs and data integrations that connect our platform to physical devices, external markets, and user-facing interfaces.
• Integrate LLMs and machine learning models into backend services to solve complex problems and enhance our "Gen AI" infrastructure.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for services, from initial design and testing to deployment and long-term observability.
• Design and implement automation solutions that create real business value – be open to workflow engines (e.g. n8n) and low-code platforms (e.g. Airtable) alongside custom code.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in high-performance environments (e.g. top-tier consulting, fast-scaling startups, or similar).
• Proven end-to-end responsibility in software engineering or infrastructure/DevOps. From ideation to release.
• Strong background in relevant fields, e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Strong coding skills with proficiency in Go, or similar. Familiarity with event-driven architecture and a "right tool for the job" mindset regarding automation.
• Self-driven problem-solving mindset – no need for micromanagement or specific tickets.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
