Own and evolve AWS and Hetzner infrastructure environments as Infrastructure as Code, operating stable and secure production systems while enabling engineers and data scientists to ship and run their own services.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of AWS and Hetzner environments and evolve them further – everything as Infrastructure as Code, running, scaling, and upgrading Kubernetes clusters
- Keep webapps, self-hosted tools, and ML stack running in stable, secure production environments, with solid monitoring, logging, and alerting across systems – including observability for LLM-based workloads
- Handle patching, secrets management, access control, and backups, and support audits and certification efforts as part of routine work
- Provide containerization, CI/CD, and deployment tooling that let engineers and data scientists ship and run their own services – from webapps to RAG pipelines
What you'll need
- Strong hands-on AWS experience (EKS, RDS, EC2, IAM, networking) and openness to hybrid setups including bare-metal/VPS providers like Hetzner
- Infrastructure as Code as your default working mode (OpenTofu/Terraform), backed by solid scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python) and confidence troubleshooting Kubernetes in production
- Conceptual familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases (e.g. Qdrant), and ML tooling (e.g. MLflow, Langfuse) – enough to speak the data scientists' language and support their infrastructure needs
- Enabler mindset with pragmatic approach – sharing knowledge through pairing and reviews, explaining trade-offs clearly, and choosing "good enough" over over-engineered solutions
What they offer
- Hybrid work model with two days per week work from home flexibility
- Thoughtfully designed office in Berlin with focus on team events
- Space to grow and take responsibility with support for development
