Tech Lead

We are looking for a Tech Lead to join our engineering team. This role requires an ambitious technical leader who can architect scalable systems, navigate complex carbon data architectures, and drive engineering excellence.

What you'll do

• Architect and scale a seamless B2B procurement platform, delivering an intuitive, enterprise-grade user interface designed for daily engagement and complex workflows.
• Drive end-to-end technical strategy, design, and architecture, translating ambitious product requirements into performant, scalable features and microservices.
• Lead by example with hands-on technical execution, authoring high-quality, maintainable code across our TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js stack.
• Cultivate engineering excellence across the team, providing high-impact mentorship, technical guidance, and rigorous code reviews to continuously elevate development standards.
• Safeguard platform integrity, establishing robust security, reliability, and performance standards across our applications and core cloud infrastructure.
• Partner closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams, evaluating trade-offs and technical permutations to engineer optimal, user-centric solutions.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of technical leadership (2+ years) guiding teams through complex, full-lifecycle product deliveries.
• Deep technical proficiency in TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem, alongside extensive hands-on experience building modern, data-dense interfaces with React or Next.js.
• Strong architectural expertise in RESTful API design, backend systems architecture, and relational data modelling (PostgreSQL experience preferred).
• Demonstrated commitment to engineering rigour, with a deep understanding of software design patterns, enterprise web security standards, and modern development workflows (Git, feature branching).
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and continuous deployment, including hands-on experience building and maintaining services on platforms like AWS.
• Exceptional collaborative and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical decisions, bridge alignment across product teams, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Basic familiarity with Python is a plus, or a strong technical curiosity to expand into auxiliary parts of our data processing stack.
