Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team and support its data strategies. In your day-to-day work, you'll focus on building data-driven applications and contribute to various projects.

What you'll do

• Build high-quality data warehouses, cloud infrastructure, AI workflows, etc.
• Integrate data from various systems into flexible and consistent representations
• Explore and evaluate the lasting impact of AI use cases and their implementation
• Ensure that all people and IT systems in the organisation have easy access to data, through various front-ends and interfaces
• Work in an agile software development process and collaborate closely with the analytics, product, and software engineering teams
• Impact the business while working in an amazing cross-functional team environment

What you'll need

• Genuine interest in data and algorithms, and an excitement for solving difficult business problems through scalable data products
• Knowledge of version control systems, web technologies, software, analytics engineering, and data engineering best practices, and the inner workings of database systems
• Solid experience with SQL, Python and dbt
• Good communication skills in German & English (native/full working proficiency)
• A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning and/or AI
• The ability to turn data science into something that creates business value
