Engineering Manager Heartbeat AI

As an Engineering Manager at 1KOMMA5° Heartbeat AI GmbH, you will lead one of our cross-functional App teams, empowering your engineers to own the full lifecycle of their products from development and deployment to day-to-day operations.

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise across the team and be part of the hiring process to find the best talents
• Be an excellent people manager and support your team members in their professional and personal development
• Help your team members to create, implement, evaluate, deploy, sustain, and enhance software solutions for complex and undefined problems
• Foster a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
• Promote teamwork and successful project execution
• Improve developer satisfaction by constantly avoiding/reducing tech-debt, automating as much as possible and documenting decisions, runbooks etc.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of proven experience in software engineering in a fast paced and scalable environment
• At least 3 years of experience in leading cross-functional and agile software engineering teams working with cutting edge technologies on distributed systems
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills in English, German is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience in climate tech and especially energy industry
• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment
