Your mission
Join us in designing, building, and operating the electrical systems that power our First-of-a-Kind (tFOAK) DAC facility — and help define the electrical architecture for the next generation of commercial plants.
You'll own electrical design end-to-end: from schematics and panel layouts through to physical installation and commissioning. You'll be equally comfortable in front of EPLAN as you are with a cable in your hand. In a small team, you won't just design — you'll execute, review, and iterate in tight loops alongside process, automation, and mechanical engineers.
Key points
- Own electrical design end-to-end — schematics, panel layouts, cable routing.
- Hands-on wiring and installation alongside the engineering team.
- Drive electrical acceptance, compliance, and grid operator interfaces.
- Collaborate with automation on control panels, signal lists, and instrumentation.
- Maintain electrical documentation and as-built records.
Your profile
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field (Bachelor's minimum; Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, with demonstrated ownership of both design and hands-on installation.
- Proficient in EPLAN Electric P8 or equivalent schematic design tooling.
- Strong working knowledge of low- and medium-voltage systems, switchgear, motor control, and field instrumentation.
- Experience with control panel design and wiring in automation-heavy environments (PLC integration, sensor/actuator cabling).
- Familiarity with German electrical standards and regulations (VDE, DIN EN, BetrSichV); experience with grid operator interfaces (e.g. Stromnetz, TAB) a strong plus.
- Comfortable working in an industrial construction or pilot plant environment — safety-conscious and hands-on.
Workstyle and culture
- Thinks in systems and owns outcomes — not just tasks
- Fast learner who quickly grasps complex topics and stays curious about the problem, not just the solution
- Combines scientific rigour with pragmatic, hands-on, build-and-learn instincts
- Authentic, reflective, and self-organised — brings structure without losing speed
- Comfortable with ambiguity and effective at working across cross-functional teams
- Clear and direct communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong active listening skills
Other
- Valid Work Permit for Germany, or able to obtain one
- Location: Industrial co-working space in Marzahn, Berlin, with our own industrial halls
Benefits
- Unique experience contributing to a first-of-a-kind climate-tech project (tFOAK).
- A steep learning curve, exposure to cross-functional challenges, and the ability to shape a project from the ground up.
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment where your decisions have a real impact.
- Competitive compensation and personal growth opportunities.
- Employee stock options
- Learning and development Budget
- Regular team events
- Subsidized BVG ticket
