Snr Automation Engineer

You'll own the PLC software architecture and control logic across our full DAC system — from sensor integration and process sequencing to safety interlocks and automated data acquisition. You'll translate process engineering requirements into reliable, scalable TIA Portal code and define the automation standards that will carry us from our tFOAK pilot into commercial-scale deployment.

What you'll do

• Own PLC software architecture and control logic across the full DAC system
• Integrate process instrumentation (flow, pressure, pH, conductivity, temperature) into automated control loops
• Translate process engineering requirements into reliable, scalable TIA Portal code
• Define automation standards for commercial-scale deployment
• Develop SCADA/HMI interfaces
• Work across cross-functional teams on complex industrial automation challenges

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on PLC programming with strong proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal and S7-1500
• Experience integrating process instrumentation into automated control loops
• Familiarity with PROFINET, Modbus, or OPC-UA
• Experience with SCADA/HMI development (WinCC, Ignition, or similar)
• Valid Work Permit for Germany, or able to obtain a permit
• Thinks in systems and owns outcomes
• Clear and direct communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Exposure to electrochemical systems, water treatment, or specialty gas processes
