Your mission

You'll own the PLC software architecture and control logic across our full DAC system — from sensor integration and process sequencing to safety interlocks and automated data acquisition. You'll translate process engineering requirements into reliable, scalable TIA Portal code and define the automation standards that will carry us from our tFOAK pilot into commercial-scale deployment. Your work is the nervous system of our plant: without it, nothing runs.

A rare opportunity to shape industrial automation from scratch at the frontier of climate-tech — with real ownership, real complexity, and real impact.

Your profile

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on PLC programming, with strong proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal and S7-1500
  • Experience integrating process instrumentation (flow, pressure, pH, conductivity, temperature) into automated control loops
  • Familiarity with PROFINET, Modbus, or OPC-UA
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI development (WinCC, Ignition, or similar)
  • Bonus: exposure to electrochemical systems, water treatment, or specialty gas processes
Workstyle and culture
  • Thinks in systems and owns outcomes — not just tasks
  • Fast learner who quickly grasps complex topics and stays curious about the problem, not just the solution
  • Combines scientific rigour with pragmatic, hands-on, build-and-learn instincts
  • Authentic, reflective, and self-organised — brings structure without losing speed
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and effective at working across cross-functional teams
  • Clear and direct communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong active listening skills
Other
  • Valid Work Permit for Germany, or able to obtain a permit
  • Location: Exiting industrial Co-Working Space in Marzahn where we have our own industrial halls to build

  • Competitive compensation and personal growth opportunities.
  • Employee stock options
  • Learning and development Budget
  • Regular team events
