Director UX, Operations

You'll lead UX for HelloFresh's Operations organisation—the part of the business that bridges technology with physical fulfilment, procurement, quality assurance and supply chain. You'll take over a trajectory built over two years from reactive delivery to a high-leverage, AI-native strategic partner, inheriting active design work on some of the company's highest-stakes 2026 bets including algorithmic menu planning and internal supply-chain decision-making tools.

What you'll own

• UX strategy and quality across four core areas: menu planning and food systems, fulfillment, an internal operations-research platform, and the technology backbone for warehouses and production sites.
• Continued build-out of an AI-native design practice: extending the design system into AI-assisted workflows and leading the company's AI-first agenda.
• Service design for internal-facing tools that operators, planners and analysts depend on every day.
• Talent leadership for a distributed team spanning multiple geographies: hiring, career development, and design-quality standards.
• A seat at the Operations leadership table, partnering with senior Product and Engineering leaders and representing UX's interests in company-wide strategy.

What you'll need

• 10+ years in UX/product design, including several years leading design for complex, operational, or B2B/enterprise-grade systems — supply chain, logistics, marketplace operations, or similar domains are a strong plus.
• A track record of shifting a design function from reactive delivery to strategic, AI-native practice.
• Experience building or scaling design systems/platforms that other teams adopt, and comfort operating at the intersection of design, product and engineering.
• Strong stakeholder management and comfort with ambiguity in unglamorous domains: service design for internal operators and planners, not consumer-facing polish.
