You'll own the simulation and process development of our full DAC system — defining what needs to be tested, translating empirical findings into models, and turning those insights into robust scale-up decisions. Your work will lay the foundation for scaling and continuously improving our DAC technology.
What you'll do
- Own and develop the simulation suite across the full DAC process
- Create, validate, and continuously improve process models
- Supervise externally commissioned research and studies
- Bridge empirical lab-scale results into scalable engineering designs
What you'll need
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on separation technology or gas–liquid systems
- Demonstrated experience in experimental design, process testing, and data analysis
- Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, mass transfer, liquid distribution, and water management
- Experience with AspenPlus, KGTower, or similar simulation tools
- Familiarity with PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs, and process safety documentation
- Valid Work Permit for Germany, or able to obtain a permit
Nice to have
- Thinks in systems and owns outcomes — not just tasks
- Fast learner who quickly grasps complex topics and stays curious about the problem, not just the solution
- Combines scientific rigour with pragmatic, hands-on, build-and-learn instincts
- Clear and direct communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What they offer
- Employee stock options
- Learning and development budget
- Subsidized BVG ticket
- Regular team events
- Laptop and individual work setup
