Full-Time
As Operations & Automation Engineer, you'll build scalable processes and automation solutions that support trawa's growth. You start in Customer Support to understand where automation makes the biggest difference, then expand your impact across the entire Ops area, developing our AI-powered ticket copilot and reducing manual, repetitive tasks.
What you'll do
- Develop our AI-powered ticket copilot – from requirements definition through technical implementation to integration into our tooling landscape (Velaris, Airtable, HubSpot), driving automation of ticket assignment, solution suggestions, and customer communication.
- Handle incoming customer inquiries by phone and email to build deep understanding of recurring problems, edge cases, and process gaps that inform agent development and knowledge base improvements.
- Evaluate, implement, and develop the tools our Ops team needs – from dedicated ticketing systems to automation platforms – and drive introduction of alternatives when current tools reach their limits.
- Identify automation opportunities across Ops functions – Finance, Onboarding, Customer Success – and build solutions that establish trawa's central automation capability.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, gather feedback, prioritize requirements, and ensure automation solutions are implemented, used, and continuously improved.
What you'll need
- Recent university graduate or early relevant experience with strong technical understanding and drive to take ownership.
- Experience or passion for automation tools, APIs, AI agents, or similar technologies.
- Strong ownership, reliability, and ability to prioritize independently.
- Process understanding – recognize where manual work can be replaced by automation and implement it systematically.
- Excellent communication skills and hands-on mentality; solution-oriented engagement with customers and internal teams.
- Resourcefulness and initiative – when you don't know a solution, you find it through research, experimentation, or team collaboration.
- Interest in the complex energy market and willingness to learn about renewable energy.
- Native-level German and fluent English.
What they offer
- Competitive salary with meal vouchers and tax-free benefits.
- Urban Sports membership.
- 30 days annual leave and flexible working hours within office-first culture.
- Annual L&D budget, training days, and coaching sessions via Sparrks.
