You will report directly to the VP of Engineering and work closely with Software and Business Systems Engineers across thermondo's functions. You own the target-state architecture for our entire CRM and business-systems landscape: Salesforce (Sales, Service, Revenue Cloud, Field Service) and the surrounding stack — billing, telephony, automation/iPaaS, the data layer — and you drive the estate toward it.
What you'll do
- Own the target-state architecture for our entire CRM and business-systems landscape: Salesforce (Sales, Service, Revenue Cloud, Field Service) and the surrounding stack — billing, telephony, automation/iPaaS, the data layer — and drive the estate toward it
- Advise on build-vs-buy and platform-fit decisions: when something belongs in Salesforce vs. an adjacent tool or a thermondo-built service, weighing maintainability, integration, and total cost of ownership
- Shape our CRM data and integration architecture together with Software and Business Engineers — object model, data ownership and governance, event-driven and API-first integration
- Set engineering standards for the CRM estate (version control, testing, CI/CD, release discipline) and champion engineering in code over click-configuration
- Guide and enable the engineers around you through review, patterns, and teaching — not just delivering your own tickets
What you'll need
- Proven Salesforce architecture ownership across multiple clouds: Sales, Service, Revenue Cloud, Field Service — including the data model, security model, and large-org integration
- Knowledge of the CRM field well enough to say when another tool fits better and can name it — whether that's a different CRM, CPQ/billing, telephony, CDP, or integration tooling like n8n or Make
- Fluent in integration and data architecture: event-driven and API-first design, data ownership and governance, ERP and billing coupling
- Code-first: comfortable with SFDX, version control, and CI/CD for the CRM stack — not click-only
- Think in total cost of ownership and long-term health of the estate, not just whether something can be built
- Use AI tooling as a default part of how you work
Nice to have
- Salesforce CTA, Application Architect, or System Architect credentials
- Field-service/dispatch or high-ticket B2C domain experience
What they offer
- Attractive compensation package (exact level defined during interview based on experience)
- Annual learning budget for conferences, courses or books
- Choose your own AI coding companion – license provided
- Work from home up to 3 days a week; modern office in Berlin
- Urban Sports Club & nilo.health membership; job bike lease option
- 20% employer contribution to pension and disability insurance
