About the role
Support research and development activities in the field of carbon-based 2D materials for advanced battery applications. Work closely with scientists and engineers in a multidisciplinary R&D environment to contribute to the development of lithium-sulfur battery technology.
What you'll do
- Support laboratory experiments related to the synthesis, functionalization, and exfoliation of carbon-based 2D materials.
- Assist in coating 2D nanomaterials onto or into porous and non-porous substrates, including support for electrophoretic deposition-based techniques.
- Help prepare samples for integration with battery-relevant materials and structures.
- Analyze experimental data under supervision and summarize results in technical reports or presentations.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in carbon materials, 2D materials, nanomaterials, coatings, or battery technology.
- Basic laboratory experience in materials synthesis, sample preparation, coating processes, or characterization.
- Fluent in speaking English – company language is English, including all internal communication and meetings.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with material characterization methods such as SEM, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, optical microscopy, or conductivity measurements.
- Basic understanding of material properties such as electrical conductivity, thermal behavior, mechanical properties, or surface chemistry.
- Good documentation, data organization, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
