Join our Northern Europe People Enablement team and gain hands-on experience in a regional HR function at SumUp. As a Working Student, you'll support People Operations in Germany, helping manage contracts, HR administration, benefits, HR systems and payroll processes.
What you'll do
- Handle employee queries via our People team service desk and keep HRIS data accurate in Workday
- Manage employment contract administration, including contract creation, amendments, and signature tracking
- Manage benefits administration end to end — sign-ups, Workday updates, payroll communication, and invoices
- Organise, digitise, and file incoming physical post and sensitive employee documents
- Support the payroll team with data accuracy tasks and basic Excel-based reporting where capacity allows
What you'll need
- Fluency in both German and English (written and verbal) — essential for day-to-day communication and document handling
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when managing confidential information
- Comfortable working with Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Ability to manage multiple recurring tasks independently, with strong time management and organisational skills
- Currently enrolled in university for at least three semesters, with a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in People Operations or HR
