Marketing Field Ops Manager

A Senior Media and Communications Officer supporting STARK's growing communications team. Based in Berlin or Munich, you will play a key role in building the company's reputation across Germany and internationally, with a particular focus on media relations, content development, and strategic messaging.

What you'll do

• Manage media relations and secure coverage in the German and European media landscape
• Develop strategic messaging and translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling communications
• Handle sensitive and high-stakes media moments, including crisis communications
• Work with senior executives and external stakeholders on communications strategy
• Manage campaigns, events, and complex programs in demanding environments
• Spend time outdoors at demos and wide range of activations—physical spaces, merchandise, and personal touchpoints

What you'll need

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in communications, journalism, or media relations, preferably within the defence or security sectors
• Strong understanding of the media landscape in Germany and Europe, with a proven track record of securing coverage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (native-level fluency in at least one)
• Experience managing sensitive and high-stakes media moments, including crisis communications
• Able to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Several years of project management behind you: campaigns, events or complex programs in demanding environments
• Experience working in or near regulated industries: defence, aerospace, automotive, government
