As Director of Marketing, you are responsible for a team of ca 8 people, reporting directly to you. Your job is to know the European defence landscape well enough to tell us where to show up, when, and why and to be measured on outcomes, not impressions.
What you'll do
- Read the landscape: budgets, programs, procurement cycles and the political context around them and turn it into direction the whole unit acts on.
- Decide which events, campaigns and demonstrations matter. Eliminate the ones that don't.
- Understand how ministries, procurement offices and operators actually evaluate technology, and direct the content that earns their trust.
- Carry what the field teaches you back into product and brand.
- Bring a product into market and oversee the full lifecycle of go-to-market.
- Build and lead a small, senior team.
- Responsible for Events and Exhibition.
What you'll need
- Know European defence from the inside: armed forces, procurement, a ministry, a prime, policy work or serious analysis.
- Think in decision journeys how a procurement officer, an operator and a minister each come to trust a system.
- Have seen what a strong brand and design org does for winning trust, and want to work with one not around it.
- Have standing relationships across the German and European defence ecosystem, and understand the NATO context.
- Know the establishment without thinking like it; belong to the tech- and software-defined, AI-native generation of defence, where things move in months.
