About the role
Design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure and networking foundations powering n8n Cloud, enabling the platform to scale securely and reliably across regions and customers.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across Azure with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Create infrastructure solutions from the ground up rather than simply operating existing tooling or templates.
- Build and improve infrastructure patterns for multi-region deployments, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Use Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes services such as AKS to run and scale cloud-native workloads.
- Improve the security, resilience, and hardening of cloud infrastructure and deployment practices.
- Use Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices to build repeatable, reliable, and well-governed infrastructure.
- Contribute to on-call rotation, helping keep systems healthy and performant.
- Own and evolve KTLO work: tackle reliability, performance bottlenecks, and critical bug fixes.
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience managing and deploying infrastructure on Azure or alternatively GCP or AWS.
- Experience designing infrastructure solutions from the ground up, not just operating tools or systems built by others.
- Confident using Terraform and IaC practices to build scalable, repeatable cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and managed services such as AKS, GKE, or EKS.
- Know how to build secure, hardened systems using cloud and infrastructure best practices.
- Experience working on larger-scale deployments and understanding operational challenges that come with growth.
- Ability to make thoughtful infrastructure design decisions and explain the trade-offs behind them.
- Curious, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out when the answer is not immediately obvious.
Nice to have
- Strong understanding of networking principles, architecture, routing, and connectivity patterns.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking concepts, tunneling, ingress, service meshes, or related patterns.
- Hands-on experience building or operating infrastructure on Azure.
- Experience in a startup, high-trust small team, or entrepreneurial environment.
What they offer
- Competitive compensation and equity ownership.
- 30 days of vacation plus public holidays (Europe).
- Health and wellness benefits.
- Work/life balance with time to recharge.
- Visa sponsorship available for Germany.
