Senior AI Architect

About the role

Map out and design AI solutions that will be deployed in production by industry leaders. Take up an Architecture Lead role on a per-project basis, navigating deep technical terrain and client expectations while bridging cutting-edge AI, robust software engineering, and strategic business impact.

What you'll do

• Architect software components, cloud infrastructures, and complex migrations with a focus on security, reliability, scalability, and testability.
• Take actively part in the discovery phase and roadmapping. Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to plan, scope, and define projects.
• Lead regular technical and C-level discussions with customers. Translate complex business challenges into clear, high-level technical visions and roadmaps.
• Explore and experiment with cutting-edge tools and frameworks.
• Work and advise on the largest projects by focusing on designing complex, custom AI solutions in production.

What you'll need

• Extensive experience in the tech industry (typically 8–10 years), with at least 4–5 years actively designing, modeling, and making critical decisions regarding solution architecture and utilized infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• A rock-solid understanding of modern architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven Design, Serverless, Lambda/Kappa, and designing for failure).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (and local language proficiency depending on office location being Dutch and/or German).
• You can comfortably talk strategy with a CTO and drill down into tactical engineering solutions with the team.
• You thrive in dynamic environments and can translate high-level uncertainty into clear, pragmatic release strategies.
