You will take ownership of the Dutch market-entry phase for FICUS Health. Your initial mandate is to validate the market, establish FICUS with the most relevant stakeholders and secure the first lighthouse partnerships. You will report directly to the founding team and initially operate as a senior individual contributor, shaping key market-entry decisions and building your own local team over time.
What you'll do
- Validate market-entry assumptions and determine how FICUS should enter and scale in the Netherlands, including analysing the market, competitive landscape, funding and reimbursement structures, procurement processes and provider decision-making.
- Build relationships with rehabilitation centres, hospitals, healthcare groups, professional associations, health insurers and other relevant healthcare stakeholders.
- Lead first commercial conversations and take responsibility for developing, negotiating and closing initial pilot partnerships.
- Navigate the Netherlands' regulatory, data-protection, procurement and reimbursement requirements to ensure market entry is compliant, clinically relevant and commercially viable.
- Bring deep understanding of Dutch rehabilitation workflows and provider needs into product development and help determine which parts of the product require local adaptation.
- Build the local team and take full operational and financial responsibility for the Netherlands, including team leadership, operations and P&L, once the market has been validated.
What you'll need
- At least ten years of relevant experience in the Dutch healthcare or rehabilitation market, for example as a leader within a healthcare provider, rehabilitation centre or hospital group, in healthcare consulting, in market access or in a commercial leadership role at a digital-health company.
- A strong understanding of the Dutch healthcare system, including provider decision-making, health insurers, reimbursement structures and procurement processes.
- Relevant experience in rehabilitation, hospital care or an adjacent provider market.
- An established and relevant network with credibility to open doors across rehabilitation centres, hospitals, healthcare groups, health insurers, professional associations or healthcare authorities in the Netherlands.
- A track record of building rather than simply managing, such as establishing a new market, business unit, commercial operation or partnership structure.
- The ability to operate effectively in a highly ambiguous environment and create your own playbook.
- A combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution; willingness and credibility to lead conversations, negotiate agreements and build partnerships personally.
- Fluent Dutch and professional English; German is an advantage.
What they offer
- Competitive base salary plus equity participation
- Direct collaboration with and reporting to the founding team
- Genuine ownership of the Dutch market-entry phase from day one with clear path towards full operational and P&L responsibility
- Remote within the Netherlands with regular travel across the country and to Berlin
- Regular company and team events
