As Compliance Manager, you own a diverse set of tasks and controls from day one while closely collaborating with our Legal, Risk & Compliance team. As we move to mid-size investment firm status, you turn new and updated regulatory requirements into daily practice and build the AI-enabled tooling that keeps a lean team compliant as we grow.
What you'll do
- Run and advance our internal control and compliance management system - periodic compliance, risk, AML/CFT and data protection controls, monitoring, and internal reporting - and keep it current as the rules change.
- Serve as the first point of contact for other departments on compliance-relevant questions, and design and run compliance trainings.
- Carry compliance workstreams tied to our regulatory transformation and to upcoming operational-resilience requirements, working closely with the IT function.
- Help build our compliance tooling and develop AI-based workflows that automate manual compliance work, with direct engineering support.
What you'll need
- 2 to 3+ years of relevant experience in compliance, ideally within a regulated environment with a connection to finance.
- A completed degree in law (strongly preferred), economics, or a comparable field.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., KWG, WpHG, KAGB, GwG, MAR, GDPR, MiFID II).
- Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and turn them into pragmatic, workable recommendations.
- Confident reading and navigation of German regulatory documents; English is our working language.
- Genuine affinity for digital tools and AI, with the ability to co-drive automation.
What they offer
- A broad, hands-on compliance mandate at a growing, regulated asset manager where you help build the function.
- Direct access to management and short decision paths in a team of 40+ colleagues from 15 nations.
- Real room to shape compliance tooling, including building AI-supported applications in the legal and compliance space.
- An environment where the team is significantly invested in its own funds and technology sits at the center.
