Full-Time
As Director of Corporate Development, you will work directly with the CEO and take responsibility for building Andercore's M&A engine from the ground up. You will help define the roll-up strategy, identify and approach acquisition targets, develop investment cases and execute transactions end-to-end, while working closely with technology and operating teams to acquire traditional industrial businesses and use technology and AI to make them dramatically better.
What you'll do
- Take Andercore's acquisition and consolidation strategy across Europe to the next level; identify attractive verticals, geographies and acquisition archetypes; build market maps and develop the financial and strategic logic behind the roll-up thesis
- Build and continuously develop a proprietary pipeline of acquisition opportunities; identify and directly approach founders and owners of attractive businesses; build trusted relationships with entrepreneurs
- Own transactions from first conversation through closing: initial assessment, financial analysis, investment cases, deal structuring, LOIs, negotiation, due diligence, financing, Board materials, signing and closing
- Work with technology and operating teams to identify opportunities to apply AI, automation and the central platform across sales, pricing, procurement, customer service, working capital and other areas
- Develop Day-1 and 100-day plans before closing; translate investment theses into measurable operational initiatives; track acquisition performance against the original investment case
- Build the infrastructure required to turn acquisitions into a repeatable capability: M&A playbook, target database, valuation frameworks, investment committee processes, due diligence standards, integration playbooks and portfolio reporting
What you'll need
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, likely from leading Private Equity funds, top-tier Investment Banking/M&A, Corporate Development at a highly acquisitive company, or a combination thereof
- Exceptional financial and analytical capabilities; strong commercial judgment; deep understanding of M&A
- Excellent negotiation skills; entrepreneurial instinct; high ownership and execution intensity
- Ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs and business owners; intellectual curiosity around AI and technology
- German and English fluency highly preferred
- Experience in industrial distribution, business services, industrial technology or fragmented-market consolidation particularly valuable
What they offer
- Opportunity to build Andercore's M&A engine and Corporate Development organization from the ground up
- Work directly with founders, Board and investors with significant responsibility from day one
- Play a central role in building a new category of European industrial company
