About the role
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform & Infrastructure team. The team owns the foundations every engineer at Zenjob builds on: AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD on GitHub Actions, observability (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Incident.io), and the growing set of AI platform tools. It's a small, senior team, and this role rounds us out.
What you'll do
- Provide platform support to engineering teams across Zenjob — the go-to person when someone is blocked on infra, CI/CD, deploys, or observability.
- Manage and evolve our AWS estate, covering cost, security, and reliability across the services we run.
- Write Terraform for everything. Infra changes go through code review, not the console.
- Operate and extend our observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, Incident.io) so teams can see what their services are doing and respond quickly.
- Contribute to our in-house Go CLI that engineers use to interact with the platform. Add commands, fix bugs, improve ergonomics.
- Treat the platform as a product, with clear interfaces, good docs, fewer sharp edges, and measurable adoption.
- Support Zenjob's AI transformation — make tools like n8n, LiteLLM, and Retool reliable, secure, and self-serve for non-platform engineers.
- Collaborate with the Data Platform team on shared tooling (Secoda, Airbyte, Airflow, Snowflake) where infra and data overlap.
What you'll need
- 5+ years in platform, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Deep, current AWS experience designing, running, and debugging production workloads.
- Strong Terraform skills. You know when to write a module and when not to.
- Kubernetes operator, not tourist. Comfortable with the control plane, networking, and the ways things break.
- Production experience with at least one mainstream observability stack (ideally Datadog and/or Prometheus + Grafana).
- Working knowledge of Go, or solid experience in another systems language and the willingness to get productive in Go quickly.
- A platform-as-a-product mindset. You care about developer experience, documentation, and making yourself unnecessary.
Nice to have
- Running AI/ML platform tooling in production (n8n, LiteLLM, Retool, LangChain-adjacent infra).
- Experience building or maintaining internal developer tooling or CLIs.
- Experience with data platform components (Snowflake, Airflow, Airbyte, Secoda).
- Real FinOps practice — cost optimization that shows up on the invoice, not just the dashboard.
What they offer
- 28 days paid vacation, increasing to 30 over time, plus 5 days paid educational leave
- Hybrid working: up to 2 remote days/week (1 day during first 6 months)
- Annual training budget of EUR 750 with mentoring and career development conversations
- EUR 30/month Urban Sports Club grant and in-office sports room
- EUR 40/month NAVIT credit for public transport, bike sharing, and more
