Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Financial Accountant at Wooga, you will partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive financial accuracy and provide strategic insights. You will play a pivotal role in statutory and tax preparations, periodic reporting and high-impact ad-hoc projects.

What you'll do

• Lead the end-to-end preparation and filing of annual Statutory Financial Statements in accordance with local German GAAP and US-GAAP.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes, as well as SOX compliance - testing and maintaining internal control environments.
• Prepare and file comprehensive corporate income tax returns, ensuring all deductions and credits are accurately captured.
• Manage and submit required periodic statistical filings to government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities during routine audits or inquiries.
• Participate in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or financial analysis.
• Provide internal guidance on tax implications for business decisions and changes in tax legislation.

What you'll need

• Formal educational background in Finance, accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• US-GAAP experience and German GAAP strong knowledge.
• Prior solid relevant professional experience in a tax/accounting role within an international environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, including Google spreadsheets and slides.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German.
• Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Proven experience in Automation and AI.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP and Knowledge of EPM Oracle.
