About the role
As an Engineering Manager, your mission is to empower your team to build scalable, high-quality software and deliver it on time. You'll lead with both technical and strategic vision, fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team by attracting top talent, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering a growth-oriented mindset
- Foster an inclusive, high-trust culture and support career growth where engineers feel valued, empowered, and psychologically safe
- Align technical direction with product and company strategy, ensuring engineering priorities drive business success
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery by implementing best practices for testing, architecture, and code quality
- Optimize developer experience, tooling, and workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce friction
- Drive project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment on key objectives
- Collaborate closely with ML, Product and Data teams, bridging the gap between engineering and other disciplines
What you'll need
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role with people management experience
- Strong hands-on mindset working daily with modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing developer workflows
- Technical background in backend engineering (Kotlin and mobile engineering is a plus)
- Experience building reliable, high-quality production systems with strong engineering practices
- Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and delivery processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across teams
- Ability to drive technical strategy and align it with business and product goals
- Strong track record in hiring and building high performing engineering teams
Nice to have
- Experience delivering complex integrations and partnership-driven projects (healthcare experience is a plus)
- Fluent in English (C1) and German (C1)
