About the role
We're seeking a People Operations Specialist to support our people initiatives as well as nurture an engaged and inclusive culture. You'll own the end-to-end monthly German payroll, manage HR ticketing systems, and lead company-wide onboarding in a fast-scaling international environment.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end monthly German payroll, while supporting and providing coverage for France and US payrolls
- Manage the HR ticketing system, resolving incoming employee requests, including complex cases with longer resolution timelines
- Lead the company-wide onboarding process in close collaboration with HR stakeholders and the existing HR team
- Support employees across Germany, France, and the US, with a primary focus on Germany and early exposure to international HR operations through a rotation model
- Work with advanced HR and Finance-interfacing tools, continuously building expertise and ensuring operational excellence
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and overall HR operational effectiveness
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience running German payroll, ideally in a high-volume organization, with prior exposure to HR ticketing systems and Personio
- Experience working in an HR role within a start-up/scale-up company, demonstrating the ability to manage complexity and scale
- Fluency in German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling sensitive HR and payroll data, combined with a high sense of ownership and reliability
- A proactive, collaborative communicator who works effectively with colleagues, leaders, and internal and external stakeholders
- A tech-savvy, solution-oriented mindset, comfortable working independently, improving processes through automation, and motivated by operational HR work and task completion
