About the role
As a Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineer in our R&D team, your mission is to support the design, prototyping, and hands-on development of innovative battery manufacturing solutions. You will play an important role in advancing our process development by combining CAD modelling, 3D printing, and hands-on mechanical/electrical skills.
What you'll do
- Design and modify 3D CAD models for manufacturing prototypes, machines, and fixtures.
- Use of 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA/DLP) and basic machining tools, including drilling and milling
- Cable assembly, routing, dimensioning, and crimping
- Select, purchase, and dimension automation components for motors, sensors, pneumatic actuators, and related systems.
- Assemble and commission prototypes and assist with testing setups to evaluate mechanical functionality and design robustness.
- Document designs, test setups, and findings to support future development and enhance design iterations.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a degree in Mechatronics or a related field
- Proficient in CAD modelling, bonus point if you have experience in Autodesk Inventor
- Competence in hands-on mechanical skills in basic machining for prototype assembly and testing
- Fluent in English – our company language is English, incl. all internal communication and meetings
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping methods
- Experience in pneumatic systems, fluid flow control, and process automation
- Experience in electrical cable assembly and cable routing/dimensioning/crimping
