Founding Designer

About the role

This is a founding designer role at an AI voice agent platform company, where you'll be the first full-time designer owning UX and UI across the entire product. You'll work directly with customers to design complex AI-first workflows while maintaining simplicity for non-technical users.

What you'll do

• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and design solutions
• Own the design process end-to-end for new features
• Identify new AI product opportunities, design concepts, and build prototypes with customers
• Create intuitive interfaces for AI-first workflows where traditional UI patterns don't apply
• Work side-by-side with engineers to ship high-quality features quickly

What you'll need

• Work experience designing UX and UI for software, ideally in early-stage B2B SaaS startups
• Exceptional skills in product design including interaction design, visual design, and design systems
• Experience building interactive prototypes using tools like v0, Lovable, Cursor, or Figma Make
• Experience talking to customers to uncover pain points and driving design processes from discovery through launch
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with comfort in uncertainty
• Eye for high-quality, well-crafted visual and interaction design with passion for UI details
• Strong interest in AI and LLMs, excited by design challenges of voice interfaces
• Strong portfolio showcasing work on complex, user-centered products
