About the role
Own and continuously improve paid acquisition performance across multiple markets, ensuring budget is deployed effectively against clear business outcomes. This role exists because we're scaling fast: more markets, more channels, more complexity — and we need someone who can own the operational rhythm that keeps everything running well, while helping us build the repeatable processes that make expansion sustainable.
What you'll do
- Own and continuously improve paid acquisition performance across multiple markets, ensuring budget is deployed effectively against clear business outcomes.
- Translate business priorities into channel strategies and actionable plans, balancing short-term performance with long-term growth.
- Partner closely with Sales and Revenue Operations to improve lead quality, qualification, and feedback loops—turning insights into concrete optimizations.
- Strengthen measurement and attribution by aligning platform signals with internal performance data, identifying gaps, and driving fixes with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead a structured experimentation program (audiences, messaging, targeting, formats, landing experiences), from hypothesis to learning to rollout.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery with internal teams and external partners—briefing, prioritising, and ensuring on-time, high-quality execution.
- Create clear documentation and reporting that supports decision-making and scales best practices across markets and teams.
What you'll need
- Hands-on performance marketing experience, with a track record of improving efficiency and scaling growth in a fast-moving environment.
- Proven ability to execute and optimise campaigns end-to-end, from planning and launch through ongoing optimisation and performance reporting.
- Solid analytical skills and a measurement mindset: you can reconcile different data sources, spot inconsistencies, and make sound decisions with imperfect information.
- Experience collaborating with commercial and operational teams to improve lead quality and ensure marketing outcomes translate into business impact.
- Comfortable working with agency and/or partner ecosystems—setting clear expectations, reviewing performance, and driving accountability.
- Experience operating across multiple markets and adapting performance approaches to local context, constraints, and opportunities.
Nice to have
- Exposure to additional acquisition channels beyond core platforms, and curiosity to test new opportunities pragmatically.
- Familiarity with modern experimentation and creative testing workflows, including briefing and iterating with creative teams.
- Comfort using automation/AI and lightweight tooling to streamline reporting, documentation, and insight generation.
What they offer
- Virtual Stock Option programme to own a stake in SumUp's future success
- Dedicated annual L&D budget of €2,000 for individual development
- Corporate pension scheme with up to 20% matching of contributions
- 28 days paid leave plus public holidays and special leave days
- Urban Sports Club subsidy, Kita placement assistance, subsidised office lunches
- 1-month sabbatical after 3 years of service; Referral Bonus programme
