About the role

As Business Development Manager for Iberia, you'll take full ownership of Spain and Portugal, managing key retailer relationships and driving commercial performance across the region. This is a high-impact, autonomous role for someone who knows the Iberia retail landscape well and is ready to drive its growth.

What you'll do

  • Build and manage relationships with key retail partners across Iberia, including buyers and purchasing directors, to drive joint business plans and commercial growth
  • Coordinate and lead our commercial structure in the region, including sales agencies and distributors, ensuring alignment on targets, stock, and operational activities
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and Marketing Development teams to maximise in-store visibility, promotional impact, and product readiness
  • Manage end-to-end budget control, sales forecasting, and business reporting to ensure operational excellence across the Iberia market
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand SumUp's retail footprint — adding new retailers, increasing product listings, and securing wider distribution

What you'll need

  • Strong background in business development, key account management, or retail sales within FMCG or Consumer Electronics, with direct experience in the Iberia market
  • Proven track record of negotiating and managing joint business plans with retail buyers or purchasing directors
  • Fluency in Spanish (mother tongue or equivalent) and strong business-level English — both are essential for this role. Portuguese is a plus
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional coordination across logistics, supply chain, and commercial teams with a high degree of autonomy
  • Entrepreneurial, data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate numbers into clear commercial decisions

What they offer

  • Stock Option programme: own a stake in SumUp's future success
  • Annual L&D budget of €2,000 for conferences and further education
  • Corporate pension scheme with up to 20% matching
  • 28 days paid leave plus public holidays and special leave days
  • Urban Sports Club subsidy, Kita placement assistance, subsidised office lunches
  • 1-month sabbatical after 3 years of service
