You will support a special program team as the connective tissue keeping a technical program legible to everyone working on it and to the people it has to be presented to. Your mission is to be the point where information converges and comes back out clear, current, and usable.
What you'll do
- Support the project management in project planning, project communication, progress monitoring, and project control.
- Maintain the project plan and all relevant project and status information (e.g. in Jira).
- Review and present schedules, dependencies, and milestones.
- Analyse and prepare key figures to assess project progress and present the critical path.
- Conduct plan/actual comparisons.
- Prepare minutes, result memos, and decision papers (Google Workspace: Slides, Docs, Sheets).
- Maintain and follow up on activity lists and open-point lists.
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate meetings, lessons-learned sessions, and retrospectives.
What you'll need
- Completed university or university-of-applied-sciences degree with an IT focus, or comparable field-related vocational training (in the case of vocational training, including at least 5 years of relevant professional experience).
- Hands-on experience with Jira or a comparable issue-tracking tool.
- Confidence in working with Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets), or the ability to get up to speed quickly.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a strong advantage.
- Quick comprehension — you pick up unfamiliar technical subject matter fast and know what matters in it.
- Highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to keep several parallel threads straight.
- Must be a citizen of a NATO member state (due to export control and security regulations).
Nice to have
- Background or strong interest in engineering, aerospace, unmanned systems, or the defence sector.
- Experience with Confluence or comparable documentation tools.
- Familiarity with agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban).
