About the role
As a Cloud Engineer, you will transform service requests into scalable, production-ready environments. By utilising Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you will ensure that every request is executed with precision, security, and documentable consistency.
What you'll do
- Act as the main point of contact for infrastructure requests.
- Maintain and expand our Terraform modules to ensure smooth deployments and consistent state management across environments.
- Install, configure, and manage services with appropriate security considerations.
- Monitor cloud provider usage to optimise costs and ensure compliance with internal security blueprints.
- Maintain clear "How-to" guides for the services you build to empower developer self-service.
What you'll need
- 2-4 years in a Cloud Engineer role.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP (preferred), though strong AWS or Azure backgrounds are welcome if you are willing to pivot. Hybrid-cloud or on-prem experience is also appreciated.
- Proficiency in Terraform.
- You enjoy the "service provider" aspect of the role - helping teams move faster by providing reliable, well-built infrastructure.
