About the role
The RegTech Engineering team sits at the intersection of security, innovation, and regulatory excellence. We build automated infrastructure that powers Identity and Access Management and ensures resilience against evolving global regulations. Our mission is to translate complex compliance requirements such as DORA, FCA, SOC2, and ISO 27001 into scalable, engineering-led solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a lean, high-performing team of RegTech Engineers, balancing people leadership with hands-on technical contribution.
- Define the technical roadmap for regulatory engineering, ensuring our focused efforts create an outsized impact on business goals, compliance mandates, and Information Security.
- Actively architect and build secure, scalable systems focused on Identity and Access Management and regulatory automation.
- Drive the design, integration, and maintenance of governance and compliance tooling including GRC platforms, CMDB systems, and automated reporting pipelines.
- Champion engineering best practices including secure coding, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Audit, Security, and Engineering teams to translate regulatory complexity into robust technical solutions.
- Advance automation and AI-driven approaches to replace manual workflows with reliable, scalable systems.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role, ideally within a regulated FinTech, Banking, or high-security environment.
- Deep expertise in designing scalable, secure architectures and microservices. Strong hands-on proficiency in Python (Go/Java is a plus), AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, machine learning, or advanced automation to solve complex operational and compliance challenges.
- Experience building, integrating, or maintaining governance, risk, and compliance tooling including IAM systems, GRC platforms, CMDB environments, and automated audit and reporting pipelines.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across Security, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
