About the role

In this role, you'll carry out electrical installations, maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, and ensure our systems meet the highest safety standards — all while supporting general facility upkeep across our sites. You'll be the go-to technical expert who keeps things running, solves problems fast, and helps integrate new equipment as we grow.

What you'll do

  • Carry out electrical installations, modifications, and repairs on production equipment and building infrastructure in compliance with VDE/DIN/IEC standards.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults across production equipment — diagnosing and resolving issues quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Support the integration of new equipment into existing production lines.
  • Conduct electrical safety testing and inspections (DGUV V3) and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Work with PLC-controlled systems (Beckhoff); basic troubleshooting and parameter adjustments — full programming not required.
  • Carry out general facility maintenance tasks — lighting, plumbing basics, doors, flooring, and building services.
  • Support the team during equipment commissioning, relocations, and facility upgrades.

What you'll need

  • Completed apprenticeship (Berufsausbildung) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related trade.
  • Legal certification to carry out electrical work independently — Elektrofachkraft (EFK) status per DIN VDE 1000-10 / DGUV V3 is required.
  • 3-5 years practical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment — food production or FMCG is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of German and European electrical regulations (VDE, DIN, IEC).
  • Comfortable reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Broad hands-on skills across electrical and general facility maintenance — a 'fix it' mindset.
  • Strong German language skills are required; English is a plus.
  • Willingness to be on-call during night shifts and provide on-demand technical support to production equipment.

What they offer

  • On-call bonus: up to €300/week when covering night shift on-call duty on top of base salary.
  • Opportunity to scale operations and build new facility in Bernau bei Berlin.
  • Work with world-class VC and angel backing.
