Working Student – Commercial Strategy / Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Working Student to join our Commercial Analytics/Commercial Strategy team in Berlin. You will work directly with our Senior Business Analyst and support the day-to-day operations of our deal desk and commercial processes — from cashback and pricing monitoring to reporting and process improvement.

What you'll do

• Support the execution of cashback overviews, margin tracking, and partner revenue share models
• Help configure and maintain pricing settings on the Pliant platform
• Assist in preparing customised pricing proposals and deal materials for the sales team
• Maintain and improve recurring dashboards and reports for commercial and financial KPIs
• Monitor key metrics (e.g. cashback volumes, margin performance, transaction data) and flag anomalies
• Identify inefficiencies in existing manual workflows and contribute ideas to automate or streamline them
• Collaborate with different teams on pricing and analytics topics
• Assist with CRM data quality and HubSpot-related reporting tasks

What you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a university degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships and working student roles count) — ideally in consulting, finance, operations, or a startup/FinTech environment
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and numbers
• Hands-on experience with Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools or CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) is a plus
• High attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented way of working
• Proactive mindset — you take ownership and don't wait to be told what to do
• Fluency in English is required; German is a strong plus
