Working Student – Accounting & Finance

About the role

We're looking for a Working Student to join our Finance team and support our accounting operations at Pliant GmbH. You'll work hands-on in day-to-day finance — invoice processing, payment workflows, bookkeeping support — while also getting real exposure to how a fast-scaling fintech runs its financial infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Process and review incoming invoices in our digital tools
• Support documentation and filing
• Assist with payment runs and verification workflows
• Maintain master data, records, and document organisation
• Support pre-accounting and reconciliation tasks
• Assist with monthly and annual close preparation
• Flag inefficiencies and help improve accounting workflows
• Support the use of AI tools to reduce manual work

What you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
• First experience in accounting or finance admin — internships count
• You feel comfortable with digital-first workflows
• Curious about AI and how it can make finance teams more efficient
• Structured, reliable, and proactive — you take ownership and follow through
• Fluent in English; German skill is a strong plus
